7-23-2011 The track's doing good. It actually paid its own rent for the first time in nine years. For anybody that doesn't know, Gary is opening the track on Saturdays for electrics only. We're calling it "Short Course Saturdays". Spent some money, bought modern drag lights. Planning a championship race, probably in November. Filming my Oleo TV Show...wanna put our sport on tv. Thanks to everbody I interviewed. For the guys that ran away, I going catch you next time...no worries. I getting bummed out listening to everybody ordering this and that online. If the store goes away, so does the track. Times are hard all over. I need you to support the store a little bit.
2-15-2011 First points race is done, so we have begun......I will set up a spread sheet for the points soon, maybe tomorrow....Thanks to Cecilio and his wife and also Kevin for the donations for the 10 lap dash....kinda fun to watch....not a big fan of too much prize money involved, but was ok.......remember we are playing more for fun than anything else,no let the dollar signs distract you from that, although the 10 lap dash was run good.....howz the sand drags??.... I am lovin it....wanna keep it fun...so will run only ladders for now....no points ...no organized racing....Seems like Bobby has the bragging rights for our first race...also our second race.....he is running a red cat buggy out of the box with paddles...not a bad set up for $209.99....guys if no can beat him...maybe gotta join him......hahaha...buy one redcat......anywho, havin a shit load of fun playing again......eerything is still lookin good...good job guys!!!!!!
1-30-11...We set up the lights for the sand drags....was already fun, sand drags...now with the light tree....10 x more fun, actually left the track after dark....turn out was not so good, but was you guys lost, we had a shit load of fun....maybe next time we will try to run a ladder race, we won't do any formal racing, because I want to keep this fun and cheap....
we will be starting the points race soon, I think in 2 weeks. Again guys, I keep hearing of people buying kits on the internet, or ordering from other shops...we do this track because i still enjoy the hobby....but business is still business...I understand some of you have customer loyalty to other shops, no problem....but if you just going order it just because, wish you guys would give TRCC a shot, at least ask Sheri for a price.....if we shut down...so does the track.....not a threat guys...just REALITY....would be a shame.......our track has been the most stable running track for a while now, many guys put blood into keeping it running......anywho...enough of that.....track is in good shape, BERT having fun....hahaha....see you guys latas
1-25-2011 well season openning race is over, not bad turnout,had a few glitches , but all in all was ok, really looking forward to starting a sand drag race series, but i think for now we can just run ladder races...been checking my email, no complaints....no comments either....oh well...you guys scade tell me stuff, i never bite nobody.......yet....anyways, no new rumors about me closing the track....good......not even thinking this way....so you guys can relax......for the guys who buy fuel from us....we are losing our discount on shipping so our cost on the stuff will go up by 5 bucks per gallon, nothing we can do about this....also fire dept getting on us about fuel in the shop.......so sorry gas guys but we gotta pass the buck....or 5 bucks....thinking about....we probably will run some sand drag ladders this sunday with the lights and all......so bring your stuff to sand drag on sunday 1-30-2011.....see ya
12-7-2010 Racing looked pretty good this weekend, was in china for a month, so really had no thoughts about the track...we will do a january championship 2 day race, the weekend of the 15th.....we will do 2 days of racing, prizes, lunch on sunday....and also start the points season.....i havn't decided on the points winner prizes yet, but i will come up with something pretty good...let you guys know.....will post more info on the races soon, the shop has flyers and entry blanks........thanks again G for all your work on the track.....thanks all you guys...you know who you are.....
10-4-10 Was at the race allday sunday....went pretty smooth, no real problems....lost about 12 bucks selling hot dogs and stuff, last race only lost 6 bucks...hmmmmmmm do it or not to ....I will be in China, so I going miss the nov. Race....you guys like change the layout, more power to you,just remember guys these toys are expensive,the racing is all for fun, no be too serious, if you not having fun, than the expensive toy is not worth it....you guys can still email me if you need to say something, only me going read em, I even check emails in China
9-19-10 This saturday had 4 guys playing.....looks like we will try to open on saturdays .......thanks guys.....call me on friday if you want to go to play at the track on saturday....no one calls chances are i not going be there....my phone is 330-1338...ps. to set the record straight JB did finish 3rd on Slash A main....sorry guys for the mix up...we workin out the bugs........
9-15-10 Well looks like the racing went OK...had a few glitches, hope we can iron them out before we start the points.......had a lot of suggestions on trying to make the store and track work together...thanks keoni.......some of the ideas were already in the works...some are new.....great minds think alike.....hotdogs and shaved ice sold around 70 bucks......unfortunately spent 80 bucks for supplies, hahaha......good business....will try again for the next race.....I was told this is a blog.....don't know what that is........thanks for the emails ...at least I know that we not working on this web page or nothing..people looking.....Hey you guys got photos...email me with them...try to put them in the gallery
9-10-10...Wondering about the R/C business in general......the track is doing well, most sundays have choke people playing. For 13 years I have lost money running and paying for a racetrack......mostly because I love the hobby and always had fun doing it.....but there are other reasons for doing this.....the reality of business, I lose money on the track because without a track, sales go flat, all the stores suffer, it seems like I pay for a track that makes money for other stores......you guys gotta know that this is a kick in the teeth for me.......I only know of a handful of people that enjoy trcc racetrack, that actually come to trcc to shop,...this gotta work 2 ways, if the store goes away...so does the track and all of the 13 years of effort that we put into it...........I just asking you guys to look at it from my view.....after all, this is my page !!!
9-5-10....Spent most of the day at the track, many guys playing....good....looks like I can afford to keep it running....guys even running at night, cool...looks like fun....Thanks guys and girl.....really don't want the place to close looking good!!
